Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna-RAFTAAR
Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana – Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sectors Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR).This is a scheme of Government of India which mainly focuses on development of Farmers all across the India and strengthening the profitable approaches for Agriculture and Allied sectors.
Launch Year - This scheme was launched in 2007 Revamped in 2017.
Ministry - This scheme was launched by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer's Welfare.
Implementing Agency - State Agriculture Department.
Aim - The main aim of this scheme is the development of Farmers at National level and to make farming a profitable activity by enhancing the production and productivity in the agriculture and allied sector. This scheme also focusses on providing financial aid for pre and post harvest infrastructure and promoting Agri-entrepreneurship innovations.
Funding Pattern -Initially it was centre sector scheme but later on it become centrally sponsored scheme which means :-
- 60:40 between centre and states.
- 90:10 between centre and N.E and hilly states.
- 100% in case of UT's.
- The centre government is incentivizing the state government which in turn helps in increasing their investment in agriculture and allied sector.
- To mitigate risk of farmers by focussing on additional income generation activities.
- Enhancing production and productivity in Agriculture and Allied sector for maximizing returns to farmers.
- To provide autonomy and flexibility to states in order to plan and execute steps towards farmers needs.
